Qualifier 1 – Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Capitals
The Mumbai Indians are the reigning champions and the most successful team in the Indian Premier League of all time. Last season they won their fourth Indian Premier League title and it looks like they have a good chance of adding one more trophy to that list this season. They finished the regular season on top of the table and as a first obstacle on their way to the final Delhi Capitals awaited. Delhi Capitals hadn’t done a bad season either, finishing on second place just two points after the Indians. The Qualifier game ended in a loss for the Capitals though, where the Mumbai Indians proved to be too strong. The four time champions won by 57 runs, a win that owned them a spot in this season’s final.
Eliminator – Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Royal Challengers Bangalore
6th November, Zayed Cricket Stadium
The Eliminator game will award the winner with a place in the Qualifier 2 game. Sunrisers Hyderabad takes on RC Bangalore in an interesting game at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Sunrisers Hyderabad went on an impressive run during the last three games of the regular season. Being outside the top 4 with three games left to play, the Sunrisers Hyderabad were forced to win every game to reach the final stages.
RC Bangalore on the other hand lost all of their four last league games, placing them on a 4th place. They will have to step up here if they’re going to have any chance against an opposition in good form. The two teams have faced each other twice this season already, winning one game each. Expect a tight game with much at stake and a game where the Sunrisers Hyderabad are held as close favourites.
Qualifier 2 – Delhi Capitals vs Winner of the Eliminator
8th November, Zayed Cricket Stadium
Final
10th November, Dubai International Cricket Stadium
