The spot in Tuesday’s game has come through a strong second place in the league table followed by a win in the second qualifier against the Sunrisers Hyderabad by 17 runs.

The best position that the Delhi Capitals have ever been noticed for is a 3rd place. Between 2013 and 2018 the team never managed to finish higher than 6th place. The Delhi Capitals will be underdogs going into the final but is not facing an impossible task. If they play as they’ve done throughout the season at the same time as the Mumbai Indians doesn’t have their best of days, then this should be a very tight and interesting game to watch.
