Wales – Denmark
Italy – Austria

Wales – Denmark will open the round of 16 followed by Italy – Austria later the same day. Wales impressed everyone when they managed to get top 2 in Group A and will now face Denmark in Amsterdam. Denmark have had a rollercoaster of a tournament but looked sharp last time out against Russia.

Netherlands – Czech Republic
Belgium – Portugal

Netherlands showed signs of great offensive football in the group stage and with players as Wijnaldum and Depay they will fear no one. Czech Republic managed get through a tough group with England, Croatia and Scotland but is now seen as major underdogs as they enter the knockout stages.

The late game on Sunday will be Belgium – Portugal, a game that every football fan will be looking forward to. The current champions Portugal was drawn into the toughest group of the tournament but managed to get through as third placed team. Now they go up against a Belgium squad filled with quality on all positions. This will undoubtedly be the highlight of the day as two of the world’s best football nations fight for a spot in the quarterfinals.

Croatia – Spain
France – Switzerland

Croatia against Spain is another massive game that awaits in the round of 16. Croatia came through the group stage with 4 points after a win against Scotland and a draw against Czech Republic. Spain on the other hand found themselves in a tough situation after two opening draws against Sweden and Poland. A 5-0 win over Slovakia in the final round saved Spain and made them go through as second placed team in Group E.

Later on Monday night the current world champions France will take on Switzerland. France are huge favorites to win the game and shouldn’t have any problems doing so. Switzerland only managed to win one game during the group stage and is lacking a reliable goal scorer.

England – Germany
Sweden – Ukraine

Tuesday means it’s time for the game of the round, England – Germany. England got an important win against Czech Republic in the last round of the group stage and claimed the top spot in Group D. What they didn’t wish for was to face Germany already in the round of 16. Germany had their ups and downs during the group stage with a loss against France, a draw against Hungary and an impressive win over Portugal. England is held as small favorites, but this is game that can end up in any direction.

Sweden and Ukraine will be the two last teams out in the round of 16. The game will take place in Glasgow and the swedes are held as favorites.
