French Open 2021 Draw

Nadal, Federer and Djokovic have all been drawn into the same half of the French Open. It will be the first time ever that all three players are playing in the same half in a Grand Slam tournament. Rafael Nadal who’s held as favorite to win the whole tournament will face tough opposition on his way to the final. The Russian Andrey Rublev will be a potential quarterfinal opponent before a potential heavy weight semifinal between Nadal and Djokovic.

The other side of the draw includes a number of interesting players who’re all enjoying the given opportunity by not having to face Djokovic or Nadal prior to the final. Daniil Medvedev, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Dominic Thiem are some of the players to look out for on this side of the draw.

Predictions

Rafael Nadal is always one of the favorites when it comes to tournaments on the clay surface. The Spaniard holds the record for winning the most French Open titles, 13, and will be confident going into this year’s tournament. Other players who’re expected to reach the final stages of the tournament are Tsitsipas, Thiem and Medvedev who have never won the French Open before. With Nadal and Djokovic in the same half of the draw there will be openings for other players to reach the final. Nadal is however the big favorite, and the Spaniard has showed us in previous years how unplayable he can be in the French Open.
