Juventus vs Cagliari

Juventus have opened the new season under manager Andrea Pirlo with three wins and four draws. 13 points gives them a 5th place in the table ahead of this weekend’s fixtures. They’re still unbeaten in the league and at home they have only lost one of their last 38 Serie A games. Bonucci, Chiellini and Ramsey will be out for a couple of more weeks but apart from that Andrea Pirlo will have a full squad to choose from. That means Cristiano Ronaldo will lead the forces on Saturday as they take on 11th placed Cagliari. Last season’s meetings between the two sides ended with a win each, Cagliari won 2-0 at home while Juventus took a comfortable 4-0 win at Allianz Stadium.

Atletico Madrid vs FC Barcelona

The game of the weekend could be the one kicking off at Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid between Atletico Madrid and FC Barcelona. The home team has started the season strong and unlike previous editions of Diego Simeone’s teams, it’s the offensive that has been impressing the most. At home Atletico Madrid has won three out four games and scored 12 goals. Luis Suarez, the former FC Barcelona player, will be out for this weekend’s match but with plenty of other offensive weapons to choose from, Simeone shouldn’t be too worried.

FC Barcelona managed to keep Lionel Messi at the club for at least another season, but even with Messi in the team this season hasn’t started as planned. FC Barcelona has already dropped points in four of seven games and with a nine-points-gap to the top, FC Barcelona can’t afford losing against Atletico Madrid.

Liverpool vs Leicester City

TV-schedule for Liverpool’s matches here

Liverpool, the current Premier League champions, will take on 1st placed Leicester City at Anfield in something that could be a really interesting game. The Reds have picked up 17 points after eight games and are as always close to unbeatable at Anfield. One thing that worries Liverpool and their fans though are the number of injuries in the beginning of the season. When going up against Leicester City they’ll have to be without more or less a full line-up of important players as Trent-Arnold, Van Dijk, Gomez, Henderson and Salah are out. In addition to this Thiago and Fabinho are doubtful and will have to be tested late.

Leicester City, led by the former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers, travel to Anfield with hopes of creating some problems for the reigning champions. Jamie Vardy will be a player to look out for, especially against an unexperienced defensive line in Liverpool. Expect a game with free floating football and where we’ll be able to enjoy some spectacular offensive players.
