In 2019/20 the South African national team began their tour in India for a couple of match series. The tour started as planned in September 2019 with three Tests and three Twenty20 International matches. After that three One Day International matches were supposed to take place in March 2020. But as the Covid situation got worse it was later decided to cancel the ODI matches and as of today no new date has been set for any upcoming games between the two nations.
What about the games that were actually played then? The Test series was won by India, 3-0, as they once again showed how strong they are when playing at home ground. By winning against South Africa, India also set a new record for most consecutive series win at home, 11.
The Twenty20 International Series was played in a three-match series, though the first match couldn’t be played due to heavy rain. The series ended 1-1.
