Speculations have been ongoing on how India will choose to line up the team for the upcoming ODI series. Will there be any changes to the squad that’re currently in place for the ongoing T20I series?

The latest reports suggest that there won’t be a lot of changes with the upcoming World T20 in October and the need for preparations. The goal is of course to find a group of players that will be trusted with the task of representing India in the World Cup. The upcoming ODI’s will be a great opportunity to build a momentum and create a good atmosphere to bring into the tournament.

Good news for India is that both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have ruled out any need for rest and have made themselves available for the upcoming ODI’s. It will be a strong side going up against England with few surprises.

India’s T20I squad: Virat Kohli (Captain), Rohit Sharma (vice-captain), KL Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant (wicket-keeper), Ishan Kishan (wicket-keeper), Yuzvendra Chahal, Varun Chakravarthy, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Rahul Tewatia, T Natarajan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Deepak Chahar, Navdeep Saini, Shardul Thakur

Two players who have impressed on both fans and experts with their performances in the Vijay Hazare Tropy are Prithvi Shaw and Devdutt Padikkal. They have impressed enough to raise voices to get them into the squad, if that’s going to be the case or not is still not decided. At the moment it looks like they will have to wait a little longer for their debuts as the manager is not too willing to experiment ahead of the ODI’s.

All three games will be played in the city of Pune, at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium. There will be no fans in the stadium, though all games will be shown live on TV and live streaming. Star Sports Network will be broadcasting the ODI’s live on TV and live streaming. Hotstar is the live streaming platform you’ll have to use if you wish to see India vs England and the upcoming battles between the two nations.

Upcoming Indian Premier League

As mentioned earlier in the article this will be the last test for the players ahead of the upcoming IPL season. The 14th edition of the Indian Premier League is just weeks away and the ODI’s will be a great opportunity to have a closer look on the players form and status.

The Indian Premier League season will begin on April 9th and you’ll be able to watch all the action live on Star Sports Network and Hotstar. The Mumbai Indians managed to win the trophy last season and are one of the favorites to do so even this season – Will we see a new champion, who do you back to win the IPL 2021?
